Adoptions

For our adoption application process we ask for all applications to be sent back within 24-48 hours so we can process all applications and make our decision for the animal in a timely manner. Please note that sometimes we have multiple animals available for adopting as well as people interested in the same animal and it can take the board members a few days to get through them all. We thank you for your patience during our process of going through applications. On your application, please include the name of the animal you are interested in and the Petfinder ID (found in their profile description) on the application form that we sometimes have more then one animal with similar or same names. Please fill out your application with as much information, details, and pictures. The more detail in the application helps the board members in making sure all animals go to the best fitting home. After the board reviews the applications, they will contact the approved applicant and the applicant(s) that did not get approved. Please note if you were not approved for this animal and have another in mind to apply send us an email and we will send out an application for the other animal. Due to COVID-19 our meet and greets are done virtually. We host a group meet and greet on our Facebook page. This group meet and greet is posted on our page if you would like to watch it. The applicant that is approved can have the opportunity to do a private meet and greet with the foster. The final steps after approved the applicant will receive the adoption package that includes animal behavior form & the microchip transfer form. The behavior form includes the animals information, care tips and the agreement form that needs to have a signature on it. The Microchip release form will need to be filled out so we can transfer the animal’s microchip into your name. Both forms need to be returned to us with in 24-48hrs so we can arrange pick up for your new family member. Once the forms are returned and processed then the adoption fee can be made by e-transfer to donateapaw@gmail.com Once all paperwork and adoption fees are paid, we will arrange pick up of your new family member.
